The Parks and Recreation Department provides Bethel residents the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of active and passive activities for pre-school age through senior citizens. Each summer, The Bethel Park and Recreation Department is offering a wide variety of summer programs for Bethel residents. Sports programs like baseball, basketball, tennis, track & field and lacrosse, theater with ELA Productions, STEM Enrichment programs, Jr. Chef cooking class and Summer Playground Camp. Also being offered: Ben's Bells Camp Kind, Nature Program with Find Us Outside, BYSA Soccer Camp, Bethel SuperCross BMX and more 

Brookfield Craft Center is dedicated to teaching traditional and contemporary craft skills and fostering the appreciation of fine craftsmanship. Our camps, classes and workshops are taught by nationally acclaimed, local, and visiting artists. Learn and grow with our artistic community of talented faculty, inspired students, and generous volunteers and supporters. 

The 2025 Hands-On Summer Youth Program at the Brookfield Craft Center will offer inspired opportunities to explore creative projects in a variety of classes offered for ages 8-16 in themed studios to explore the joy of crafting: Forge, Modern Craft Studio, Ceramics Studio, Glass Studio, Woodturning Studio, Fiber Arts and Multi-Mediums. Weekly half-day and full day programs will be offered. 

The Danbury Music Centre, is 501(c)(3), non-profit organization located at 256 Danbury Main Street housed in a beautiful 19th-century building, formerly the public library. We provide classical community music experiences through our ensembles and events. In 1993, the Danbury Common Council dedicated the upstairs rehearsal hall in honor of the late Marian Anderson, a world-renowned contralto who was a resident of Danbury and served on the Music Centre Board of Directors. **AUDITIONS FOR NUTCRAKER - SEPT 13/14** Plus, Join the FREE Strings Program this fall! 

Danceline Bethel is a dance studio located in downtown Bethel, CT. We offer classes in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, and musical theater for all ages. We are dedicated to forming well-rounded, knowledgeable, and creative dancers. We offer several programs including ballet, tap and jazz for younger dancers (ages 3-6 and 7-11) as well as classes for older dancers (ages 12-18). Join us for fall 2024!

Our mission at Dynamic Dance & Fitness is to provide a safe and friendly environment where students build confidence, talent, a healthy lifestyle, and friendships that last a lifetime. 

Dance Classes are offered for 18 months - adult in the areas of ballet, tap, hip hop/tumble, jazz, acro and lyrical/contemporary. The Summer 2025 offers two 3-week sessions (July and August) as well as single-day themed Friday mini camps for ages 3-10! 

Just Dance School of Performing arts has grown since 2004 to include 9 talented, professional dance instructors, who each bring their own expertise and individual flair to the studio; a group of talented artists who are dedicated to bringing the art of dance alive in all of their students. Join them this summer! They are offering a five-week class session including classes for dancers ages 2.5 through adult, a summer intensive week for ages 10 and up, and weekly camps for children ages 4 to 10 years old. Established in 2024 in the heart of New Fairfield, CT, Legacy Dance Center is dedicated to providing a creative, inspiring, and technically strong dance education for students of all ages. Its experienced staff, all of whom have performed and choreographed at the collegiate level, are committed to building a solid foundation in dance through proper terminology and training. Legacy Dance Center believes in nurturing each dancer’s unique strengths while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment. Year-round programs are offered for children ages 3 and up, including Tiny Dancers, Introduction to Ballet, Tap & Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, and Hip Hop. This summer, Legacy Dance Center is offering a five-week class session and 4-day camps for children ages 3 to 10 years old! Join us!

Movement is committed to developing well-rounded dancers that possess passion and dedication. Our goal is to empower students to express their emotions through movement while nurturing their respect for dance. Movement offers a variety of classes for all ages from 2.5-18. Classes include Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Acro and Creative Movement for students both at the recreational and competitive level. Now enrolling for fall classes! 

Muse Squad is a non-profit creative writing program for tweens and teens. The club-like atmosphere is designed for age groups: 8-12 and 13+. There are multiple opportunities in each class to read your work aloud. 

This summer, join Muse Squad in New Milford and/or Ridgefield for a week-long summer writing program! The Anthologies is a separate series of handbooks that combines music history and studying song lyrics to inspire creative writing. During the week-long summer course, each 2-hour gathering navigates the world of one of Joni Michell’s songs (New Milford) or the artistry of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (Ridgefield Park & Rec). The week concludes with a Final Reading and reception. Join us! 

Music Together is a music and movement approach to early childhood music development for infant, toddler, preschool, and kindergarten children and their parents, teachers, and other primary caregivers.  The Music Together approach develops every child's birthright of basic music competence by encouraging the actual experiencing of music rather than the learning of concepts or information about music. The Suzuki Music School of Sandy Hook was founded in 1977 by W. Jeanne Luedke and has since strived to develop the whole child through music education. The school offers a variety of year-round programs for all ages: Baby & Pre-School Music Classes for Ages 6 Weeks - 5 Years old as well as Instrumental Program for ages 4 and up, which includes Piano, Classical Guitar, Violin and Viola. Students are given the opportunity to perform and showcase their talents at multiple performances throughout the year and are backed by award winning teachers who share over 200 years of experience. The Art Spot is a School of Fine Arts owned and operated by professional, working artists.  We offer exciting classes for children and adults as well as our famous Birthday Art Parties, after school enrichment for schools, library events, portfolio development for high school students, Artist in Residence education programs, and lots more special and customized programming!  

The Giggling Pig offers a wide range of classes, camps, workshops and parties at every age and level. Experience is typically not necessary. We are licensed by the state of Connecticut for full day camp and most of our staff are EpiPen, CPR & First Aid Certified. Our summer camp is the perfect place to keep your child creative and happy in a safe and warm environment. We offer half day morning and afternoon as well as full day for children ages 4-16. From drawing and painting to exploring with clay our campers will create using a variety of mediums and learn a variety of artistic techniques. Each day your child will leave with a completed project.

Village Center for the Arts provides a nurturing environment for artistic creativity and development through educational fine art programs for all ages. VCA also collaborates with social services, school counselors and local children’s services to ensure that all children interested in the arts, have the opportunity to experience the arts as a form of life-affirming joy.
