At the Housatonic Valley Waldorf School, we believe wisdom begins with wonder. Education is not just a matter of memorization and test taking. Students learn through experience. Located in Newtown, CT, our independent day school is proud to provide elementary and middle school students in Fairfield, Litchfield and New Haven Counties, as well as Eastern New York, with wonderful and life changing programs. In addition to being a private elementary and middle school, we also provide opportunities for early childhood development, including play-based preschool and kindergarten programs. While we specialize in child-centered learning during school hours, we also offer extended care and day summer camp opportunities to give kids something fun to do. Our programs are available to children throughout Connecticut, including the communities of Newtown, Bethel, Danbury, Ridgefield, and Redding, CT, as well as Westchester County, New York.
