Learn to swim this summer with the premier learn-to-swim provider for people of all ages, offering programs for children ages 3 months through adults. We use gentle teaching methods and a survival-first approach to help people of all experience levels become safer, stronger swimmers. British Swim School’s safe, fun, and effective instructional program has made it the preferred choice for parents and students for over 40 years.

Children of the Sound Swim School opened in 2004 in Westport and Norwalk and is now offering classes in Danbury at the indoor, heated pool at the Quality Inn on Federal Road. Offering flexible schedule options with private, semi-private and small group lessons which teach and encourage capability and confidence. Registration is rolling, so enrollment can start at any time. 

LIVE2SWIM is a new swimming school in Brookfield located at 94 Old State Road (where The Aquatic Club used to be)! 

The mission of LIVE2SWIM is to help your child become a confident, safe swimmer and prevent drowning through fun, skill-based lessons. LIVE2SWIM uses a structured, science-based and time-tested teaching curriculum that has been refined over the last 25 years in Australia. The scientific approach combines biomechanics, kinesthetics, psychomotor, and sensory skills which all play a crucial role in both swimming performance and teaching swimming effectively.

The Newtown Community Center is a multi-generational hub that enhances our community by promoting social interaction, health and wellness, creative opportunities, and personal growth.  The Center includes a community recreational pool and flexible modular community rooms (available for rent). The Newtown Community Center hosts art classes and programs, family fun events, aquatic and other athletic programs, as well as various cultural and community building events. Year-round programming and event announcements can be found in seasonal brochures which can be viewed and/or downloaded from the web site. Now enrolling for Summer 2023! 

Ridgefield Parks & Recreation provides fitness and fun everyone.  Our offerings include: a Wellness (exercise) Center, lap swimming, swim lessons, recreation swim, fitness classes (pool/land), summer camps, and sports/enrichment classes.  We also operate and maintain Ridgefield’s beach, parks, trails, skate park, and fields.  Non-residents are welcome.
