Nurture with Nature Farm Camp is a fun-filled outdoor camp experience at Abbotts Hill Farm and Rescue in Newtown. Sessions will include interacting with friendly farm animals, yoga, mindfulness, arts and crafts, and more! Educational opportunities include connecting with nature, learning about respectful animal interactions, animal & nature related arts & crafts, coping skills, friendship skills, emotional regulation skills, social problem solving, meditation, mindfulness, yoga and more. Camp for 18 months-11 years old runs Monday through Friday during select weeks in July and August. And Lil Farmers & Me Parent/Child Classes for ages 18 months through 4 years old runs on select Saturdays and weekdays all summer long! Join us!

ACT of Connecticut brings Broadway caliber theater, executed by Broadway professionals, to the Ridgefield area including top rate contemporary productions, new works, and re-imagined revivals. The theater company produces four shows per year, with each show including Broadway professionals and Ridgefield’s professional actors and actresses. In addition to fully produced, main stage productions, the producers launch youth education classes, summer camps, workshops, and a conservatory program for high school students. 

The Parks and Recreation Department provides Bethel residents the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of active and passive activities for pre-school age through senior citizens. Each summer, The Bethel Park and Recreation Department is offering a wide variety of summer programs for Bethel residents. Sports programs like baseball, basketball, tennis, track & field and lacrosse, theater with ELA Productions, STEM Enrichment programs, Jr. Chef cooking class and Summer Playground Camp. Just Dance School of Performing arts has grown since 2004 to include 9 talented, professional dance instructors, who each bring their own expertise and individual flair to the studio; a group of talented artists who are dedicated to bringing the art of dance alive in all of their students. Join them this summer! They are offering a five-week class session including classes for dancers ages 2.5 through adult, a summer intensive week for ages 10 and up, and weekly camps for children ages 4 to 10 years old. Music Together is a music and movement approach to early childhood music development for infant, toddler, preschool, and kindergarten children and their parents, teachers, and other primary caregivers.  The Music Together approach develops every child's birthright of basic music competence by encouraging the actual experiencing of music rather than the learning of concepts or information about music. The Newtown Community Center is a multi-generational hub that enhances our community by promoting social interaction, health and wellness, creative opportunities, and personal growth.  The Center includes a community recreational pool and flexible modular community rooms (available for rent). The Newtown Community Center hosts art classes and programs, family fun events, aquatic and other athletic programs, as well as various cultural and community building events. We are dedicated to educating and encouraging students to become knowledgeable, passionate, thinking artists. We offer classes in all disciplines for ages 2 through adult: Hip Hop, Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, Commercial Dance Workshops & more.

Ridgefield Parks & Recreation provides fitness and fun everyone.  Our offerings include: a Wellness (exercise) Center, lap swimming, swim lessons, recreation swim, fitness classes (pool/land), summer camps, and sports/enrichment classes.  We also operate and maintain Ridgefield’s beach, parks, trails, skate park, and fields.  Non-residents are welcome.

The Ridgefield School of Dance offers classes in PreBallet, Classical Ballet and Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap & Musical Theatre and is supported by a faculty of current and former professional dancers dedicated to teaching the discipline and joy of dance with their students.
