Originally offered to the public in 1987, Music Together pioneered the concept of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement. It began as an educational project of the Center for Music and Young Children and is now being taught nationwide. Music Together CDs, songbooks, and classroom techniques enjoy widespread use.
Music Together is a music and movement approach to early childhood music development for infant, toddler, preschool, and kindergarten children and their parents, teachers, and other primary caregivers. The Music Together approach develops every child's birthright of basic music competence by encouraging the actual experiencing of music rather than the learning of concepts or information about music.
Our Music Together classes build on your child's natural enthusiasm for music and movement. We'll help you provide your child with the basic musical skills needed to enjoy school and social musical activities, and to study an instrument should he or she choose to do so. This basic class follows the recommendations of child development researchers—grouping children of a variety of ages because this fosters natural, family-style learning. Each child participates at his or her own level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, watching, or exploring musical instruments. Any caregivers—parents, grandparents, nanny—can bring the children. The whole family is welcome for this important family music experience.

Business Review
I attended Music Together classes with my two daughters for several years, beginning when my oldest was 4 and my youngest was just 7 months old and ending when my youngest was 5. I had wished I discovered the program sooner! I can't say enough about Music Together. Attending with my daughters (and on many occasions bringing along their grandma) was the highlight of my week. Mr. Don, Miss Ali and Miss Jen are phenomenal teachers and really take the time to get to know you and your children. It didn't take very long until we all felt like family, coming every week and meeting up with our friends from music class. The girls memorized every single song, the dances and movements and requested the CD during nearly every single car ride. I sang the songs while changing diapers, cooking dinner and sang them while putting the girls to sleep. The music very much became the soundtrack of our lives during those baby, toddler and preschool years. We all look back on them fondly and can still sing many songs from memory. I highly recommend this program!
