Camp Fernwood is an all-girls residential summer camp located in Poland, Maine for campers ages 7 to 15. Founded in 1921, Camp Fernwood is rooted in the four principles of living simply, enjoying the beauty and wonder of natural surroundings, nurturing tolerance and unselfishness, and developing loving, lifelong friendships.

Camp Fernwood's program is intentional, allowing for friendships to form, independence and resilience to develop, and girls to fully immerse themselves in the complete camp experience.

Maine Camps are the Natural Choice! Campers unplug and enjoy top-notch land and water sports, arts, and nature activities. Maine Camp Experience (MCE) is 40 premier Maine Camps and a camp-planning resource. For kids ages 7-17; coed, or all girls/boys. Full, half-summer, and shorter sessions. Campcierge® provides free, expert guidance.

The Summer Day Camp through Newtown Parks and Recreation offers daily activities designed to enhance each camper’s competence, connections, character, confidence and in the long term, their individual contribution to the community. Camp provides challenging activities in both small and large group settings through activities such as swimming, sports and other traditional outdoor camp activities. Campers will have experiences connecting them to the natural environment of Newtown parks. Newtown Parks and Recreation’s Summer Day Camps provide the opportunity for your child to feel safe, run, sing, laugh and grow. Safety Town Camp is a positive youth development program from Newtown Youth & Family Services. Safety Town is a one-week interactive safety education camp developed to teach rising kindergartners and first graders important life-saving skills and safety knowledge. There are two programs separated by age group: Safety Town for children entering Kindergarten and Safety Town II for children entering First or Second grade. Runs on select weeks in July and August.
