The Parks and Recreation Department provides Bethel residents the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of active and passive activities for pre-school age through senior citizens. Each summer, The Bethel Park and Recreation Department is offering a wide variety of summer programs for Bethel residents. Sports programs like baseball, basketball, tennis, track & field and lacrosse, theater with ELA Productions, STEM Enrichment programs, Jr. Chef cooking class and Summer Playground Camp. Also being offered: Ben's Bells Camp Kind, Nature Program with Find Us Outside, BYSA Soccer Camp, Bethel SuperCross BMX and more 

Learn to swim this summer with the premier learn-to-swim provider for people of all ages, offering programs for children ages 3 months through adults. We use gentle teaching methods and a survival-first approach to help people of all experience levels become safer, stronger swimmers. British Swim School’s safe, fun, and effective instructional program has made it the preferred choice for parents and students for over 40 years.

Children of the Sound Swim School opened in 2004 in Westport and Norwalk and is now offering classes in Danbury at the indoor, heated pool at the Quality Inn on Federal Road. Offering flexible schedule options with private, semi-private and small group lessons which teach and encourage capability and confidence. Registration is rolling, so enrollment can start at any time.

At Gymnastic Spectrum we specialize in various Kids Programs that focus on building happy, healthy, confident kids. We are a multi-discipline center offering fun activities and educational programs for children 6 months – 15 years old. Our students gain confidence, build self-esteem, and enhance social skills all while learning gymnastic skills in a fun, non-competitive environment.

Join Gymnastics Revolution! We offer a variety of youth programs, ranging from 2 year old beginners to 18 year old veterans – and everything in between. From recreational and preschool gymnastics to ninja zone classes and high-level competitive gymnastics, there's something for every age and ability level. 

Just Dance School of Performing arts has grown since 2004 to include 9 talented, professional dance instructors, who each bring their own expertise and individual flair to the studio; a group of talented artists who are dedicated to bringing the art of dance alive in all of their students. Join them this summer! They are offering a five-week class session including classes for dancers ages 2.5 through adult, a summer intensive week for ages 10 and up, and weekly camps for children ages 4 to 10 years old. Kratos Gymnastics provides a gymnastics program in a caring environment which sparks kids to have fun while learning the sport they love! At Kratos, they'll learn lessons which can carry them through life; allowing them to grow inspired, resilient, kind, empowered, humble, and self-loving. Rapadura Jiu Jitsu offers year-round programs and classes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for ages 6-12 and 13-Adult as well as Kickboxing classes for ages 13-Adult. There are many benefits of learning a self-defense martial arts form such as Jiu-Jitsu or Kickboxing. The Regional YMCA has lots of programs for the entire family year-round. Ridgefield Parks & Recreation provides fitness and fun everyone.  Our offerings include: a Wellness (exercise) Center, lap swimming, swim lessons, recreation swim, fitness classes (pool/land), summer camps, and sports/enrichment classes.  We also operate and maintain Ridgefield’s beach, parks, trails, skate park, and fields.  Non-residents are welcome.

The SportsCenter of Connecticut has grown into the premier Family Fun Entertainment Center in New England. Situated on over 20 acres, The SportsCenter consists of over 150,000 square feet of indoor entertainment venues coupled with numerous outdoor activities. Activities include ice skating, hockey, golf range, mini golf, laser tag, video arcade, bowling, batting cages, target paintball, virtual reality. Winter Garden Ice Arena is a privately owned, nonexclusive ice arena, open to the entire community. Winter Garden offers recreational skating, figure skating, youth and adult hockey programs, and a host of special events and clinics.
