The YMCA Children's Center in Bethel offers a preschool and before/after care for school-aged children. Children can also receive before/after-school care at Greenknoll Children's Center in Brookfield.

The Ridgefield Montessori School offers Infant/Toddler, Early Education, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs for children ages 18 months to 6 years old. Extended Day and After-Care programs are available.

Saint Gregory the Great School is a Catholic elementary school serving students in Pre-K 3 through 8th grade. The school is located in Danbury, Connecticut minutes from Candlewood Lake and Federal Road.
