St. Mary School in Bethel offers an outstanding education to students from Pre-K to 8th grade. Students learn in a safe, faith-based, family environment. Small class sizes and a personalized approach to learning draw students from Bethel, Danbury, Newtown, Redding, Brookfield, New Fairfield and Woodbury. Students achieve top scores on state and national testing. The majority of our students continue on to an Honors track in high school.
Students have access to a new Media Center for music, art, digital recording and video production. Spanish is taught in every grade, from K - 8. Updated technology includes a 1:1 Chromebook program, smart boards in every classroom, and the first Middle School Cyber Patriot Team in Fairfield County.
We offer a creative approach to classroom learning. The 3rd grade class, for example, participates in the ArtLink Rainforest Connections Art Exchange Program. Students create and share artwork with a school located in a Rainforest community in Guatemala. This project integrates many curriculum standards in Math, Science, Art, Social Studies and Literacy.
We offer an exciting variety of after-school enrichment activities including Public Speaking, Meditative Coloring, Financial Literacy, Italian, Spring Musical and more. Competitive athletics include Basketball, Track and Cheerleading. Students in all grades take part in community service projects, contributing over 1000+ hours a year.
Our Pre-K students learn and play in big, bright, colorful classrooms. We also offer before-care and after-care for all students. Financial aid is available for eligible families.
