Rapadura Jiu Jitsu (117 Mt. Pleasant Rd/Rte.6 in Newtown) offers year-round programs and classes in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for ages 6-12 and 13-Adult as well as Kickboxing classes for ages 13-Adult. There are many benefits of learning a self-defense martial arts form such as Jiu-Jitsu or Kickboxing. Head instructor Leonardo da Silva has a 4th degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and trains under 9x World Champion "Formiga" professor Rafael Formiga Barbosa of Double five Jiu Jitsu.
