๐ PICK YOUR OWN APPLES, ๐ PUMPKIN PATCHES & ๐ฝ CORN MAZES |
NOTE: Always call ahead to confirm field conditions and crop availability due to weather.
Apple picking is not available this season due to Spring frosts and freezes according to their web site. But they WILL have pumpkins! Blue Jay grows their pumpkins offsite, but they have a festive fenced-in area that displays a very large amount of pumpkins that you can select from. They also provide wheelbarrows for easy transporting from the "patch" to the checkout stand. No reservations required and there is no fee to park. Pumpkin Patch opens September 16. The market is open 11AM-5PM 7 days a week for cider, pies and donuts!
Beautifully situated along scenic Route 302, Castle Hill Farm is well known in the area as a family destination for fall fun! Its 7-acre corn maze is wildly popular with a different themed design each year. They even do a night-time flashlight maze the last weekend of October. You can usually catch live music on weekends and the kids will love visiting with the farm animals! Corn maze: $13/person. Hayride Adventure to feed the cows: $6/person. Kids 3 and under are free. The corn maze and pumpkin patch along with hayrides will open on weekends starting October 1 from 10a-5p.
This family-owned farm is one of the area's premier pumpkin growers for over 20 years, specializing in large, jack-o-lantern style pumpkins along with winter squash and gourds of all sizes. Pumpkin picking from the patch is offered on weekends in October.
Located at 401 Federal Road next to Twins BBQ, The Cornfield offers a Large Corn Maze and a Small Kiddie Maze, Pumpkin Patch and Kids Activities. Open weekends 11-4 in October. Prices are $5 per person. Children under 4 are free.
Head over to Jones Family Farms in Shelton for a wide selection of pumpkins, squashes and gourds. Plus, enjoy farm walking trails, a mini corn maze, and beautiful photo ops. Book your picking time online (though not required). Opening weekend is Sept. 16-17. Then open daily from September 23 through October 30: 10 am to 5:30 pm (open at 9 am on our October peak weekends). Weekend pricing is $10 online or $12 for walk-ins. Weekday admission is $5. 50% of the fee ($5 on weekends and $2.50 during the week) equals 1 "pumpkin credit" which you can use to save money on the purchase of pumpkins, squashes and/or gourds. Entry fee includes corn maze and pumpkin path, educational displays and much more. Children 2 and under can enter and enjoy hayrides for free. Hayrides are an additional fee - $7 on weekdays, $8 on weekends.

Also don't miss the Pondside Animal Yard where the kids can see the goats! Open now for Pick-Your-Own Apples weekends only 10AM-4:30PM. Also, the Corn maze is now open 10:30-4:30pm; Pumpkins coming soon toward the end of September!
The last fully operational farm in Trumbull, Plasko's Farm has a nursery, country store, bakery and most recently, a creamery. Fall family fun includes a corn maze and pumpkins! The annual corn maze is open to the general public every weekend in October from 10am-6pm (last ticket sold at 5:30pm). No reservation is required. Pumpkins are plentiful and the farm also fully stocks a variety of squash, gourds, Indian corn, corn stalks and many more fall decorative accessories. **UPDATED INFO FOR 2023 COMING SOON!**
This family farm has been in operation since the 1920's and is a favorite pick-your-own fruit destination for many families in Connecticut. Fall is a great time of year to visit, not only for picking apples, but the pumpkins, corn stalks and other fall decor make for a great backdrop for photos! Be sure to visit their famous "Cereal Bowl" - the kids will love it! They get to play, explore hay-bale tunnels, and make “corn angels.” The market and animal farm is open 7 days a week, 9AM-5PM.
Locals love this small, family-run farm in beautiful Redding. In operation for 35 years, their focus is on making maple syrup (live demos offered in March), fall vegetables and pumpkin season. Pick your own pumpkins and gourds off the vine or choose one at the farm stand. Visit the barnyard animals or take a stroll through the meadow path. The farm stand is stocked with apples, cider, maple syrup and candy. NOT OPEN IN 2023.
