Happy Mother's Day!
Editor's Note
Isn't that the truth? I LOVE being a mom. The last 3 years of my life being a mom to Lily have been an absolute joy. Soon, that joy will multiply as we're expecting our second child at the end of August! As I feel those little precious kicks, I can't help but feel that Mother's Day will be a little extra special for me this year. We plan to celebrate with an extended family BBQ and just spending quality time together doing fun things around town. What are your plans?
If you're looking for something to do with the kids, there are some fun events on the calendar:

There will be guest speakers, raffle prizes, free massage chairs, free brow waxing, free passed hors d'oeuvres and more! Plus, lots of amazing vendors to shop from, too! What a great way to escape for a few hours and focus on just YOU! And here's the icing on the cake - if you purchase tickets online between now and Mother's Day, May 13th, you will receive a $25 gift card from Lord & Taylor (while supplies last; limited to the first 100 purchasers)! Why God Made Moms
As told by 2nd grade school children
Why did God make mothers?
1. She's the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.
2. Mostly to clean the house.
3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.
How did God make mothers?
1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.
2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.
3. God made my mom just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts ...
