Nestled along the Pootatuck River (inside Rocky Glen State Park), Affinity Esports has been paving the way to healthier gaming experiences since 2021 by providing a safe community meeting space for kids and teens to play games and interact with their peers all while learning technology and problem-solving skills. Their studio space features more than 1,000 square feet of gaming PCS, streaming setups, big screen TVs, whiteboards, and Nintendo Switches and has attracted a large community of kids and young adults in the Greater Danbury area to explore their passion for gaming and Esports.

Over the last couple of years, co-founders Mark and Emily Kilpatrick have built a welcoming and active community of kids and young adults who share his enthusiasm and passion for Esports. And as parents themselves, they understand that some parents may have some questions about Esports so they set out to create a space that parents would not only be comfortable with, but also excited about! Gaming Foundations (Ages 7-13), Mondays 4:45pm-6:30pm; FREE TRIAL CLASS
An overview of gaming, including digital content creation, game creation, and competitive organized gaming (also known as esports). Participants will experience a variety of games such as Minecraft, Rocket League, Fall Guys, Super Smash Bros, and Mario Kart in a collaborative setting, emphasizing character-building, communication, and teamwork.
Game Creation, Modding and Coding (Ages 7-13), Tuesdays 4:45-6:30pm; FREE TRIAL CLASS
This class will require kids to problem-solve, be creative, think critically, and hone basic computer skills to achieve their game creation goals. They will start by learning code basics through Scratch, the world's largest coding community and visual coding language for children, to create their own games. They will also have the opportunity to practice coding through a variety of fun challenges and coding courses in Minecraft Education Edition and Roblox.
Content Creation and Streaming (Ages 7-17), Wednesdays 4:45-6:30pm; FREE TRIAL CLASS
Learn the fundamentals and develop skills necessary to become a successful content creator. In this class, kids will have the opportunity to explore their creativity, build their personal brand, and produce unique content. Students will receive an overview of hardware and software requirements, streaming platforms (such as Twitch and YouTube), lighting, audio, video editing, graphic design, and more.
Advanced Game Creation, Modding and Coding (Ages 10-17), Thursdays 4:45-6:30pm; FREE TRIAL CLASS
Designed for kids who have a basic understanding of coding, an interest in game development, and a desire to explore on their own, this class will allow them to collaborate with others to problem-solve, develop creative solutions, think critically, and gain a more advanced understanding of computational thinking and execution. This course is anchored in Game Maker Studio, where they will expand their coding knowledge by building, collaborating, and sharing their own unique games.
Minecraft and Roblox Explorers (Ages 13-17), Thursdays 4:45-6:30pm; FREE TRIAL CLASS
Embark on a journey of creativity, friendship, and skill-building in our Minecraft & Roblox Explorers Class! Participants will explore the collaborative worlds of Minecraft and Roblox, discovering the joy of creative expression and problem-solving. This unique course not only fosters digital creativity but also emphasizes the development of essential soft skills like communication, teamwork, and adaptability.
