PET ADOPTION CORNER: Meet Oliver

From Project Precious Rescue

By Cari-ann Tyszka, Contributing Writer September 19, 2019
Adorable, happy-go-lucky 40 lb 10 month old puppy Oliver is more than ready to find his forever family!

As you might remember, Oliver came to us about 6 months ago with healing fractures in his forelimbs as well as a heart murmur. His legs have since healed and he has had two visits to the cardiologist. Oliver has a congenital condition called dynamic left ventricular outflow tract obstruction. It is well controlled on twice a day medication, and according to the cardiologist he will live a normal life span.

Oliver loves other dogs and wants to play! He is great with all humans he meets and is an excellent snuggler. The family who is lucky enough to adopt this sweet boy will have to understand that he will be on medication (very affordable - about $30 for 60 day supply) life-long, that he shouldn't run off leash outside for extended periods of time (controlled leash walks will be his best form of exercise), and that he will need to see a cardiologist once a year for monitoring of his condition.

Oliver lives a very normal puppy life and is happy as can be! Don't let his super manageable congenital condition be the reason you pass by this sweet petite boy! Oliver is potty and crate trained and ready to become the newest member of your family! Once you meet him we know you'll fall in love!
