CLASSES: After-School Cooking Enrichment with Tiny Chefs

Classes in Ridgefield for ages 4-8 and 6-10

By Meghan Friedland, Editor/Publisher Macaroni Kid Danbury-Bethel-Ridgefield, CT October 14, 2016
Looking for something different for the kids to do after school this season? How about cooking classes?

Tiny Chefs is the premier provider of kids cooking parties, classes and camps in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and has expanded earlier this year to Fairfield County, Connecticut.  Their
philosophy, “learning through cooking,” encourages children to discover the joys of cooking while obtaining basic educational skills and culinary techniques. The instructors teach kids to follow recipes, measure and combine ingredients, and work together on a team all while promoting personal creativity. Tiny Chefs strives to instill health-conscious values in kids along with the confidence to experiment with their own creations in the future.

This fall/winter season, Tiny Chefs is cooking up some fun with interactive after-school enrichment classes at The Ridgefield Park and Recreation. Their instructors will bring all the necessary cooking supplies and food to teach kids how to make tasty eats from scratch.

Be sure to let Tiny Chefs know that you heard about them in Macaroni Kid!

Tiny Chefs offers Birthday Parties, In-home and After-school Classes as well as Summer Camps. Choose an entrée, dessert, and/or appetizer from our kid friendly menus, and our instructor will come to your home to host a 1 1/2-hour party or class. Kids will decorate their own chef hats and as the entrée is cooking, children will have time to decorate their placemat and chat with friends. The kids eat the food they prepare and receive printed recipes of everything they make. Girls and boys, ages anywhere from 4-14, will get to learn by doing, and are encouraged to explore their imagination and creativity while learning basic cooking skills and safety in the kitchen. For older ages, we even have specialty themes like Chopped! and Iron Chef where kids have to incorporate secret ingredients in their dishes!
