EVENT: The Nutcracker, Danbury Music Centre

Danbury High School, December 11-13

December 11, 2015
Danbury Music Centre is still selling tickets to their annual production of Nutcracker. For the first time, Danbury Music Centre will offer an additional (fourth) performance, providing the community with two matinee options -- one on Saturday and one on Sunday.

Performances of Nutcracker will take place at Danbury High School on December 11-13.  Showtimes are: 7:30 pm Friday, December 11th; 1:30 and 6 pm Saturday, December 12; 3 pm Sunday, December 13.  Each performance lasts approximately 2 hours including intermission.

"This is one of our community's favorite holiday traditions.  The production quality is incredible, and audiences young and old come back year after year.  We are so excited to add a performance on Saturday afternoon, so that even more members of the public can share in this unforgettable experience.  It's amazing how many people tell us they fell in love with dance, or with a particular instrument in the orchestra, when they saw their first Nutcracker.  There are lots of great seats, but we definitely recommend purchasing tickets as soon as possible to make sure you can go to the performance you'd most like to attend!" Said Barbara Adams Jaeger, Executive Producer of Danbury Music Centre's Nutcracker.

Danbury Music Centre's Nutcracker, directed by Arthur Fredric, features about 200 dancers from the greater Danbury region, ages seven to adult.  Danbury Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Ariel Rudiakov, accompanies the ballet, live, with Tchaikovsky's original score.
