Local Farmers' Markets

By Meghan Friedland, Publisher/Editor, Macaroni Kid Danbury-Bethel-Ridgefield, CT June 14, 2023

Visiting your local farmers' market is a not only a great way to support local farmers, but also a fun, interactive way to get children excited about eating healthy. As you walk around the market, encourage your children to ask the farmer's questions about his/her fresh produce and make it a point to learn the names of various fruits and vegetables they may have never seen before. Challenge yourselves to take home one or two new items home each week to try together as a family. You never know, you just might find a new favorite! Everyone loves local, fresh produce. Which market will you head to this week? Click the pink town titles for more info on each market.
