Looking for all the Easter happenings in the Greater Danbury area? You’ve come to the right place! Macaroni KID has been hopping about collecting all the information on all the ways to celebrate Easter in our area just for you!
Our goal is to make sure you and your family don’t miss out on any Easter fun! So here is a list of all the Easter events, crafts, recipes, and fun we can find! We’ll be updating this list often as more events come in, so check back often!

Danbury Fair, March 1 through 31
The Easter Bunny is back at Danbury Fair now through Easter! Visit the Bunny on the Lower Level in Center Court, and for the easiest experience, pre-book your photo session for your littles. MadHatter Magic to Welcome the Easter Bunny! See link above to view hours as they vary by day. Pet Nights March 11 & 18 from 4pm to 8pm; Bunny Cares March 17 at 10:30am. π° Flashlight Egg Hunt @ EverWonder Children's Museum, March 15 (6:30-8:30PM) *SOLD OUT*
Hunt for eggs with a flashlight! Drop-off event for ages 7-12; includes price of admission. $25/person; $20 for members. Registration required.
π° Hoppy Days Egg Hunt @ Lounsbury House, March 16 (10AM)
Embark on a fun egg hunt across the picturesque grounds of the Lounsbury House. Keep your eyes peeled for the Easter Bunny, who’ll be hopping by to spread cheer and pose for photos! Ages 3-10; $25 suggested donation.

Hop into Spring with our Spring Egg Hunt Family event! Playground egg hunt, soccer demo, juice, snacks and stickers (while supplies last).

Go for a fun twist on a traditional egg hunt! Grades 3-5. Free. Register in advance.
π₯ Egg Dive, Newtown Community Center, March 23 (3:30-5PM)
Splash and Dash with us as we race against other participants to gather as many Easter eggs as possible with the hopes of finding the golden egg! We will also have crafts while you wait. Ages 2-4 @ 3:30, Ages 5-8 @ 4 PM, Ages 9-12 @ 4:30. Free for members; $5 for non-members. Register in advance.
π° Breakfast with the Easter Bunny@ Stew Leonards, March 23-24 (9AM)
A buffet-style selection of your favorite breakfast treats. Each child will receive Easter coloring sheets and will be able to take a photo with the Easter Bunny. Adults: $17; Kids $15; register online.
π« Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Dickinson Park, March 23, March 30 9:30AM-12:15PM
Join Newtown Parks and Recreation for the Annual Spring Egg Hunt. There will be an appearance by our Spring Bunny who will lead you to the hunt. A variety of time slots are available. There will be two prize eggs in each time slot. Ages 3-12; Cost: $7. Pre-register.

Bring a basket and go on an Easter egg hunt. You can even meet the Lion and Easter Bunny! All ages. Free.
π₯ Brookfield (residents only) Annual Egg Hunt, March 23 March 24 (10AM)
Join the Parks & Recreation Department on the grounds of Town Hall. Additional features include jellybean counting contest and a special appearance by a famous bunny. Bags will be provided for egg collecting. Grades 4 and under. $5 per child/$10 max per family. Register in advance.
π° π£ Egg Scramble, Ballard Park, March 23, March 24 12PM
The Easter Bunny is on the way! Bring your children so they can hunt for Easter eggs, meet the Easter Bunny and play in the park. Free. Just go.
π°π₯Annual Egg Hunt, Castle Hill Farm, March 23-24 24-25, (11AM-3PM multiple time slots) - Added March 25th for those with tickets for March 23
Head over to Castle Hill Farm for an egg hunt at farm themed stations and even a visit with the Easter Bunny! Register in advance; $15.
π° Bunny Hop @ Rising Starr Horse Rescue, March 23
Grab your basket and join us for an egg-cellent celebration of Spring! Meet the horses of Rising Starr Horse Rescue! Mini Pony Photo Booth, Arts & Craft Stations, Games with prizes, Facepainting, Springtime Treats. $10 in advance; $15 at the door. Rain or shine (held indoors in the barn). Over age 12 is free.
π° Breakfast with the Bunny, Newtown Community Center, March 24, 8AM-12PM (multiple time slots)
Enjoy pancakes, pastries, coffee/OJ, crafts and a visit with the bunny! He will be hopping around to the tables for visits and photos! Register in advance. $10 adults; $6 children.
π° Macaroni KID Bunny Trail Egg Hunt, Tarrywile Park, March 24, 12PM-4PM
Follow a festive, one-way trail collecting candy and toy-filled eggs left by the Easter Bunny at numbered stations. There will also be letters to collect at each station that will spell out a special message from the Easter Bunny. Take a photo with the bunny in the gazebo and goody bags for the kids. Pre-registration required. $15 per child. All ages welcome although toys/candy inside eggs are for ages 3+. A portion of proceed to support Tarrywile.
π° Rabbit Romp @ Great Hollow Nature Preserve, March 24 (10AM-12PM)
Kids, hop on over for morning of fun at Great Hollow! Children will learn some fun facts about rabbits and meet a rabbit up close. They'll also enjoy games like hopscotch and a rabbit-themed craft. Drop-off; Ages 6-10; $10 members; $15 non-members. Register in advance.
