Description
An evening walk with enthusiast Tommy McCarthy along with Ridgefield Conservation Commission members to learn about and listen for some of the eight owl species which can be found in our state. Late fall is a great time to look for owls, as the young ones born during the past season disperse, learn to live independently and establish their own territories. They will delve into the lives of these secretive and beautiful animals by learning about the sounds they make, the habitat they prefer, and the signs they leave behind as they hunt.
Who
All ages are welcome, just keep in mind when bringing children that the walk gets darker through the evening hours.
