Camp Aldrich

The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum is one of the few independent, non-collecting institutions in the country and the only museum in Connecticut solely dedicated to the presentation of contemporary art. In 2024, the Museum renovated its 3-acre campus and Sculpture Garden increasing the opportunities to experience art in nature.

Camp Aldrich is a full-day, week-long arts experience for children entering grades 1 through 6. Campers explore the Museum’s Sculpture Garden, learn in the galleries, and incorporate the world around them into their art. Each week, campers are guided through art-making workshops and activities led by a professional, practicing artist and our dedicated team of camp counselors. Weeks are tailored to specific age groups for the ultimate creative learning environment. Each session culminates in a celebration for family and friends on Friday evenings, displaying works or art that the campers developed throughout the week.
