Now in its 20th year, Connecticut Open House Day celebrates the state’s diverse array of history, art, culture, nature and adventure experiences. More than 200 tourism attractions across the state, including museums, arts and cultural venues, historical sites, farms and restaurants, will welcome visitors with free or discounted admission or special offers.

25+ animal rescue organizations featuring over 200 adoptable animals including dogs, cats, turtles, hamsters, guinea pigs & more! Celebrate Connecticut Open House Day with FREE ADMISSION all day!
🚊Open House Day: Free Train Ride @ Danbury Railway Museum (11AM-2PM)
Free train ride and 10% discount in the gift shop with each paid admission to the museum. Trains depart at 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, and 2:00.
😀CT Open House Day @ EverWonder Children's Museum (10AM-3PM)
The first 25 visitors to the museum are FREE of charge in celebration of CT Open House Day.
🏡 CT Open House Day @ Keeler Tavern Museum (11AM-4PM)
Enjoy 30-minute "Highlights" tours of our historic tavern museum and get hands-on with our History Workshop exhibition, with opportunities to try out games, quill pen writing, and other daily activities from the 18th and 19th centuries. Visitors can also explore our four-acre campus, including our historic walled garden in gorgeous full bloom.
🌿 Nature Center Open House @ Woodcock Nature Center (9AM-11AM)
Check out indoor animal enclosures and say hello to your favorite Woodcock ambassador animal. Plan a longer visit by enjoying the grounds, trails and playground which are open from dawn to dusk daily free of charge.
