Enrolling Now: Summer Programs at Abbotts Hill Farm and Rescue

Abbots Hill Farm & Rescue in Newtown is offering both a camp program as well as parent/child classes this summer! Nurture with Nature Farm Camp is for kids ages 5-12 where children will learn about and interact with a variety of farm animals. Their educational, fun and unique Little Farmers and Me Classes are designed for children ages 18 months through age 4 along with their parent/caregiver with plenty of opportunities to bond with eachother and the animals at the farm. SUMMER CAMP 2024

Your child will have a unique, fun-filled outdoor camp experience at Abbotts Hill Farm and Rescue in Newtown. Educational opportunities include connecting with nature, learning about respectful animal interactions, animal and nature themed arts & crafts, games, mindfulness, yoga and more.

Location: 5 Abbotts Hill Road, Newtown
Ages:  5-12
Dates: Runs Monday - Friday from 9AM-12PM. Choose from weeks of: July 8, July 29 or August 5. Drop-in days also available each week.
Cost: $275 per child, per session, paid at time of registration. $60/day for drop-ins.

PARENT/CHILD CLASSES

Little Farmers & Me Classes provide an opportunity for you and your little one to attend class together and bond with the animals at Abbotts Hill Farm and Rescue! Each class will feature various activities that you can do at your own pace such as arts and crafts, farm-themed toys, sensory bin exploration and of course time to interact and play with the animals on the farm! Each class finishes with a group activity such as storytime, music or yoga.

  • Dates: Runs on select days in May - August, 10AM-11:15AM
  • Ages: For 18 months - 4 years plus a caregiver
  • Cost: $20 per class

Nurture with Nature was founded by Naomi DaPaz Ribeiro, a licensed clinical social worker, whose passion lies in helping animals in need and in working with children and adolescents with varying abilities and goal sets. Naomi works as a school social worker in the Milford Public Schools. She has been working with children and their families for over 20 years and has been helping animals in need since she was a child.
