The Danbury Library is excited to host a Community Baby Shower on Saturday, April 27th from 10:30am to 1:30pm. The event will be held at the library, located at 170 Main Street. The first 50 registrants will receive an early literacy tote bag from the Friends of the Danbury Library. The bags will contain a selection of books and toys for babies ages 0-18 months that promote early learning.
Meet our community partners for information on how to set your little ones up for childhood success (such as HUSKY Health CT and CIFC: Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc. for your health, housing, and nutritional needs!) Do you need time off to care for your new bundle of joy? Learn how to access and understand eligibility for CT Paid Leave. Big siblings should join us in the Story Corner for a Dad's Read Storytime facilitated by the Families Network of Western Connecticut.
Keep your body moving with a Prenatal Yoga Class at 12pm. To register for yoga: https://bit.ly/DPLprenatalyoga24
This is a FREE event open to all!
The Danbury Library and our community partners are thrilled to host this event and provide an opportunity for new parents and families to connect with local resources and services that can help support young children. We hope that everyone who attends will leave feeling informed, supported, and connected to their community.
