Make Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center (KTM&HC) part of your weekend with their free monthly program for all ages, First Sunday, on April 7. Enjoy fun activities in the Garden House from 1 to 4 p.m.
This month, it’s all about hand-sewing! Make your own stuffed animals and try your hand at embroidery – perfect for beginners and those with more experience. KTM&HC education staff will provide supplies and guidance, as well as highlight examples of historic hand-sewn items in our collections. Activities in the Garden House will also include watercolor painting overlooking the gardens and plenty of children’s books – a perfect afternoon to cozy up next to the fireplace.
Drop in any time between 1 and 4 p.m. to participate. Advance registration is not required – just check in at the Garden House to get started. Please note that the museum is closed through February and no tours will be offered at the January and February First Sundays.
The First Sundays series is funded by a generous grant from M&T Bank. For more information about upcoming events, head to www.keelertavernmuseum.org/events.
