Summer Camps at EverWonder Children's Museum at its New Location

11 Mile Hill Road, Newtown

By Meghan Friedland, Publisher/Editor, Macaroni KID Greater Danbury, CT June 30, 2023

It's official! EverWonder Children's Museum has moved to its new location at 11 Mile Hill Road in Newtown! This past week we got a look at the new space, and WOW - you are all going to LOVE IT! It's a much larger space with plenty of windows for natural light. The design and color scheme is beautiful and the exhibits are spaced out so nicely between the main floor, rooms and nooks.

The exhibit areas are the same as in the old space but EverWonder will continue to update and add exhibits. Current exhibits include:

  • Imagination Playground
  • Technology Corner
  • LEGO Wall
  • BEAM Interactive Floor
  • Dinosaur Dig
  • STEM Lab & Makerspace
  • Wacky Weather Wonders
  • Young Explorers (ages 5 and under), including:
    • vet lab
    • kitchen/market space
    • nature
    • adventures in engineering

Also, EverWonder now has three classrooms (one is preschool specific) for use by birthday parties, field trips, & programs! Learn more about birthday parties here.

The museum is closed on Mondays but open Tuesday through Friday from 9am-3pm and Saturday/Sunday from 10am-3pm. Admission is $10 per person; infants 0-12 months are FREE. If you think you will visit frequently, you may want to consider a Family Membership! To plan your visit at EverWonder Children's Museum, pick the day you want to go and purchase/reserve your open play museum tickets online. Keep in mind that everyone entering the museum requires a ticket, including adults, children, and infants. Also, please note that for the CT Summer Museum Free Program you must have a ticket in advance of your arrival. They are released 1 day in advance and are not available for the 9-11am time slot.

In addition to open play days, EverWonder Children's Museum is offering Summer Camps this summer! Each week will excite and inspire your child into the world of STEAM. Camp themes include Bromatology (Kitchen Science), EverWonder-Ology (Everything EverWonder), Zoology (Animal Science) and Cosmology (Earth, Moon, Sun and Stars). See flyer below for dates and pricing!
