Share in the magic of the Danbury Music Centre’s “Nutcracker” on December 9, 10 and 11 at Danbury High School. The performances will be accompanied live by the Danbury Symphony Orchestra, conducted and directed by Ariel Rudiakov. This timeless classic is directed and choreographed by Arthur Fredric and Lisa Denton and includes over 200 dancers and musicians from the local community.
The Danbury Music Centre’s annual Nutcracker was started in 1967 and continues to be a holiday tradition in the community. Arthur Fredric and Lisa Denton are in their 25th year directing and choreographing this magical holiday performance. The Danbury Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Ariel Rudiakov, accompanies the ballet, live, with Tchaikovsky's original score. It is one of only a few Nutcrackers performed in Connecticut that is accompanied by a live orchestra.
