Get Outdoors this Summer with Nurture with Nature Newtown! Abbots Hill Farm & Rescue in Newtown is now offering brand new summer classes and programs where children will learn about and interact with a variety of farm animals. Their educational, fun and unique classes are designed for children ages 18 months through 12! Take classes one day at a time or enroll in a weekly camp! See below for details on each program.
PARENT/CHILD CLASSES
Little Farmers & Me Classes provide an opportunity for you and your little one to attend class together and bond with the animals at Abbotts Hill Farm and Rescue! Each class will feature various activities such as storytime, music, arts and crafts, yoga and of course time to interact and play with the animals on the farm!
- Location: 5 Abbotts Hill Road, Newtown
- Dates: Runs on select days in July and August
- Ages: For 18 months - 4 years plus a caregiver
- Cost: $20 per class

Abbotts Hill Animals and Art Classes combine two passions into one! Make animal-inspired art with a local art teacher and learn about the animals on Abbotts Hill Farm. Led by Lynne Kopcik from Imagine Art Studio in Newtown who will teach watercolor, acrylic and pastel techniques. Plus Abbotts Farm and Rescue owner Ms. Naomi will run games and lessons on feeding/caring for the animals. Inquisitive minds will learn about a different animal each day!

- Dates: July 26, 27 and 28 (choose one, two or all three days!); 8:30AM-11:30AM
- Ages: 5-11 (suggested)
- Cost: $60 per day

WEEKLY SUMMER CAMP PROGRAMS
If you are looking for a unique, fun-filled outdoor camp experience, look no further than Nurture for Nature Summer Camp at Abbotts Hill Farm and Rescue in Newtown. Educational opportunities include connecting with nature, learning about respectful animal interactions, animal & nature related arts & crafts, coping skills, friendship skills, emotional regulation skills, social problem solving, meditation, mindfulness, yoga and more.

Ages: 5-12
Dates: Runs Monday-Friday. Choose from w/o July 11, August 1 or August 8. Choose AM or PM session: 9AM-12PM or 12:30-3:30PM
Cost: $300 per child, per session, paid at time of registration

Ms. Naomi is a licensed clinical social worker, whose passion lies in helping animals in need and in working with children and adolescents with varying abilities and goal sets. Naomi works as a school social worker in the Milford Public Schools. She has been working with children and their families for over 20 years and has been helping animals in need since she was a child.
