Spring Music Classes with Music Together of Greater Danbury

By Meghan Friedland, Editor/Publisher Macaroni Kid Greater Danbury, CT April 8, 2022

Music Together of Greater Danbury is now enrolling for classes this Spring!

The Spring Semester will feature the Tambourine Songs Collection and will start April 26th. Classes are suited for children Birth to Age 5 but the entire family is encouraged to participate. Each child participates at his or her own level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, watching, or exploring musical instruments. Any caregivers—parents, grandparents, nanny—can bring the children. The whole family is welcome for this important family music experience.

Music Together classes build on your child's natural enthusiasm for music and movement and will provide your child with the basic musical skills needed to enjoy school and social musical activities, and to study an instrument should he or she choose to do so.

Classes will be offered outdoors in two locations this season:

  • Brookfield Town Hall (100 Pocono Rd.) in front of the band shell.
Choose Tuesdays 10-10:45AM or Fridays 10-10:45AM
  • Redding Community Center (37 Lonetown Rd.)
    Wednesdays 1:45-2:30PM

"I took both of my children to Music Together classes when they were little. Attending these classes reinforced our love of music and introduced us to other families, creating friendships that we still have today! That's because there is something very special about the interactive format of the classes. The kids make music together and look forward to seeing their new friends every week. I absolutely loved that it was something that I participated in as well - it created a social outlet for our family to share our love of music with others. The songs are also memorable and fun while introducing kids to musical concepts around melody, harmony and rhythm. These building blocks of music making coupled with the social skills attending class week after week was instrumental in preparing my kids for school. Definitely recommend this program! ~ Meghan, Your Macaroni KID Greater Danbury Publisher :)
