The school year may look a bit different this year, but one local arts-based preschool is very well-poised to provide parents a well-rounded educational experience for their children that is second to none. Enchanted Garden has been educating Greater Danbury area children in the arts since 1997, striving to instill an enthusiasm for learning in a loving, accepting, and joyful environment.
Enchanted Garden is currently enrolling students in its Early Childhood Education Programs, including Judy’s Music, Twos Preschool Prep and its International Preschool.
Judy's Music
Offered weekly, Judy’s Music provides babies, toddlers, and twos along with their grown-up caregivers an interactive musical experience using some of the world's best music, including children's melodies, classics, jazz, and world music. Class size is limited to 10 and will take place in an airy, open, mat-covered studio space filled with professional equipment designed for this age group. Participants are required to bring their own rhythm instruments, puppets or dolls, and scarves (one for each child and grown-up). An Enchanted Garden tote bag will be provided. The program costs $225 for a 4-month session which runs September 14-January 15th on Mondays or Wednesdays from 9:30AM-10:30AM. A second session is scheduled for January 18 May 21, 2021. Twos Preschool Prep
Since 2002, the Enchanted Garden’s nurturing, experienced teachers have eased children’s delicate transition into a school setting. The classroom was designed by Jim Henson artist Tim Clarke to spark children’s imagination and creativity. Children do musical activities, art projects, hear stories from around the world, and learn skills needed for preschool. They play with educational toys, draw at easels, climb on indoor playground equipment and more. Class size is limited to 8, allowing the teachers to focus on each child’s needs and interests. There is a balance between structured and unstructured activities so that children can experience the joy of discovery and become independent learners. Toilet training not required. International Preschool
The International Preschool at Enchanted Garden prepares students to become thoughtful, respectful, inquiring learners, and achieve their highest potential. Children ages 3-5 will be introduced to world cultures through art, music, and literature. There is a large outdoor playground, an airy indoor play space with large windows looking out on woods, and a classroom designed to evoke an enchanted garden – all in recognition of the importance of children spending as much time as possible being close to nature and physically active. NEW this year is a Transitional Kindergarten program for children who are ready to take on a more challenging curriculum, as well as an earlier start time (9AM).
