EVENT: Annual SafeWalk to return to Danbury Fair Mall on October 6th

By Meghan Friedland, Publisher/Editor, Macaroni Kid Danbury-Bethel-Ridgefield, CT October 1, 2019

The Women’s Center of Greater Danbury will hold its annual SafeWalk on Sunday, October 6th, 2019 at the Danbury Fair Mall beginning at 8:30am. SafeWalk is the Women’s Center’s premier event to unite the community in our vision to end domestic violence and raise much-needed funds to support our free programs and services. Safewalk is our largest attended event – individuals, families, local businesses, high school and college teams. For the first time this year, the Women’s Center is joined by other domestic violence organizations, via the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence, in state-wide walks dedicated to recognizing and breaking the cycle of abuse, on the same day. New London, Greenwich and Middletown are just some of the other locations where walks will be held.

In addition to the walk, there will be entertainment, food, and activities for all ages including balloon animals, a games corner, Zumba, mall store participation, and therapy dogs. To create a fundraising team or join us as an individual and set your fundraising goal, click here!
