Featured Summer Programs: The Brookfield Craft Center

Ceramics, Blacksmithing, Drawing, Glass, Fiber, 3D Printing, Wood Turning, Painting and More!

By Meghan Friedland, Publisher/Editor, Macaroni Kid Danbury-Bethel-Ridgefield, CT June 6, 2019

The Brookfield Craft Center recently hosted a free drawing class for Macaroni Kid readers as a preview to one of their many hands-on art programs offered this summer for kids. Everyone had a great time using their imaginations and drawing inspiration from everyday household objects to create and draw their own space vehicles. Thank you to all who came and to the staff at Brookfield Craft Center for having us!

Brookfield Craft Center Hands-On Art Summer Youth Art Program

The Brookfield Craft Center is offering an exciting opportunity for our communities’ youth (ages 6-10 and 11-16) to explore their creative energies in our Youth Summer Art Program. Weekly half-day and full-day programs will be offered on 4 weeks (July 8-12, July 22-26, Aug 5-9 and Aug 19-23) on the picturesque Brookfield Craft Center campus. Each of the week-long classes will be a guided learning experience in a supportive environment. Small classes and highly skilled and professional artist/craft teachers and assistants will offer lots of individual help and allow each child a hands-on exploration of their personal creativity and the process of art-making. Classes will include Ceramics, Blacksmithing, Drawing, Glass, Fiber, 3D Printing, Wood Turning, Painting, Photography, Jewelry and Sculpture.
