Bridgeport Animal Control is the largest municipal animal shelter in the state of Connecticut. Bridgeport is the most populous city in the state! With this, we are a multi-functional division of the Bridgeport Police Department. We deal with many different animal situations, including animal cruelty investigations, resolving animal issues in regards to the risk of rabies and animal laws. We handle the adoption, placement and redemption of over 1500 animals per year. Please visit our shelter to view homeless animals who are in need of owners.
