Welcome new subscribers! It was great to meet so many new parents at the Taste of Danbury last weekend. It was also wonderful to meet so many of our current readers and to hear your stories of how much you love Macaroni Kid. You sure did know how to make an Editor feel special, so thank you! We made a ton of dyed macaroni noodle bracelets and listened to some great, live music! CityCenter Danbury sure knows how to put on a fabulous event!
This weekend we welcome the first day of Autumn! Those of you who have been subscribers for a few years already know that I love EVERYTHING about the fall. I got married in October, my kitchen is apple-themed and I almost have just as many fall decorations for my house as I do Christmas. So especially during this time of year, I absolutely LOVE my job being the Editor of Macaroni Kid because I get to seek out and share all the fall activities that are happening in and around town for families. From apple and pumpkin picking to hayrides, corn mazes and scarecrow making, we've got it covered. This weekend is just the start of many weekends of fall fun.
Here are some highlights from our full, September calendar:
We're working diligently to populate our October and November calendars as well, so stay tuned to our weekly email newsletter and to our Facebook and Twitter pages so that you don't miss anything! If you have a special event that you'd like to share with our readers, add it to our calendar here.
Save the Date! We are so very excited to announce that we will be co-hosting the annual Trick-or-treat Street & Halloween Bash in Bethel this year on October 26th. In addition to the traditional trick-or-treating along historic Greenwood Avenue, new this year will be a Halloween Bash on the Municipal Center lawn with lots of fun activities for the kids. See article for all the details!
Let's show some Macaroni Love to our newest sponsors:
Enjoy the weekend with your family - maybe I'll see you in the apple orchard!
