I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Mine was very enjoyable with lots of great food, stories and family time. One of our annual traditions is attending Bethel Winterfest and the Tree Lighting the day after Thanksgiving. My daughters loved the horse-drawn carriage rides and telling Santa their Christmas wishes at the end of the night followed by a cup of ice cream at Cream & Sugar Cafe. We usually decorate the house for Christmas the Saturday after Thanksgiving but since my husband was traveling this year we held off and are planning to decorate this weekend. We'll fit it in somehow between making holiday crafts at New Pond Farm, attending the St. Mary School Christmas Fair and going to the Annual Bethel Gingerbread House Festival. Join us at this fun event that we are sponsoring to benefit the American Cancer Society. Come vote on your favorite house, take photos with an Elf, write a letter to Santa, hear a reading of How the Grinch Stole Christmas and more! It's such a fun time of year to be a Macaroni Kid Publisher! There are so many fun events to tell you about. We're rounded up town tree lighting events, family volunteer opportunities and our daily calendar is filled to the brim with activities and events including plenty of chances to see and visit with Santa, places to see The Nutcracker, A Christmas Carol, Handel's Messiah and more.
