A few weeks ago, we celebrated my daughter’s 2nd birthday. It was a Sesame Street theme and we decorated our formal dining room for the occasion with streamers, balloons, and a character-themed tablecloth. At the head of the table sat the large Abby Caddaby cake that I had made, and after we sang to my daughter it seemed she had planted herself in the chair permanently for the next several hours, doing what all kids this age do – sticking her finger in the cake and licking the icing.
